Construction is progressing according to schedule. The reinforced concrete structure of the InterContinental hotel is complete, the steel structure for the sky pool<\/em> is being installed on the roof, the glass fa\u00e7ade is in place up to the 18th floor, and installation of the fa\u00e7ade solar panels, which will contribute to the building\u2019s energy efficiency, is well under way. The 100-metre residential tower has reached the 17th floor, while the smaller tower and the Class A office building are in the final phase of construction.<\/p>\n During the site tour, Karin Sheppard<\/em>, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts<\/em>, expressed her delight at the progress:<\/p>\n \u201cWe know that InterContinental<\/em> Belgrade will be a true landmark for the city, and indeed for the whole world. I am thrilled that this hotel will open on time, ahead of EXPO 2027, when the whole world will come to Belgrade and experience the very best of hospitality. The InterContinental<\/em> brand has more than 240 hotels open around the world and over a hundred more in the pipeline, and I am absolutely certain that InterContinental<\/em> Belgrade will be the jewel in the crown of that portfolio. We are incredibly happy to be doing this with our strategic partner, Delta Holding, in whom we have the utmost trust when it comes to quality, finishing and excellence. That is why we can hardly wait to see it open. We know it will be a wonderful place for the local community, where people can come together, dine and enjoy the facilities. The beautiful rooftop pool will be a true signature feature, and I am sure every corner of the hotel will help us create wonderful memories for our guests.\u201d<\/p>\n Delta District is being built in a single phase and comprises the InterContinental hotel, two residential towers 100 and 50 metres tall, and a Class A office building. It is the only residential investment in the region bearing the signature of one of the world\u2019s most prestigious hotel brands, set within a gated complex where residents will be linked to the hotel by a climate-controlled connection and enjoy access to five-star hotel amenities and services. The project is pursuing dual WELL and LEED certification, placing it among the select few complexes in the region that meet the highest international sustainability standards.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are building Delta District thoroughly, with uncompromising standards and the right approach at every step.
