This Year’s RE:D Conference in Zagreb brought together over 300 professionals from the region and beyond. The focus was on the most exciting projects in the region, as well as current environmental and ESG trends.
One of the highlights of the conference was Miloš Grdinić, MRICS, who presented the renovation of Sava Centar and the planned luxury mixed-use complex, Delta District, in Belgrade. These projects attracted significant interest due to their potential to greatly impact the region’s development.
Sava Centar – Transforming a Belgrade Icon
Miloš reflected on the successful completion of the Sava Centar renovation, restoring its status as a symbol of congress, cultural, and business life in Southeast Europe.
Despite numerous challenges during reconstruction, including the lack of original documentation and construction obstacles, Sava Centar has become a hub for domestic and international events. In just a few months, it has welcomed over half a million visitors from around the world.
New Standards of Luxury Living in Delta District
Continuing his presentation, Miloš introduced Delta District, a luxury mixed-use complex in Belgrade set to redefine the city’s urban landscape. Spanning over 100,000 m², the development will feature four architecturally harmonized towers, integrating residential spaces, business areas, and exclusive amenities of the InterContinental Hotel, such as a panoramic pool and a wellness center.
Residents will have access to premium facilities, including a private cinema, gym, kids’ playroom, and a play & chill lounge, significantly enhancing the living experience. The construction will align to the latest sustainability standards, with the complex proudly carrying LEED and WELL certifications.
Investments Transforming Urban Spaces
Miloš concluded his presentation by highlighting that the total value of the new investment cycle reaches nearly one billion euros. Ambitious projects such as the Delta District and Delta Land mixed-use complexes in Belgrade, along with the Delta Iron business space concept in Novi Sad, will contribute to the sustainable development of urban areas in the region, as highlighted during this year’s conference in Zagreb.
