Delta City is a project that holds a special place in our company. Opened in November 2007, Delta City is the first shopping mall on the territory of Serbia, and with a unique “virtual city” concept it has brought new shopping experience to the Serbian market.
The success of Delta City is reflected in the fact that more than 20% of famous fashion brands got introduced to the Serbian market for the first time with the opening of this shopping mall. The project did not go unnoticed at the global level either, and Delta City won the award for the best shopping mall in Europe in 2009, given by the International Council of Shopping Centres.
Delta City Belgrade was sold in 2016 to the South African investment fund Hyprop Investments for €127,750,000.
In modern ambience, filled with plants and light, with an unusual combination of retail premises and entertainment, this shopping mall provides fun for everyone. The unique offer of Delta City shopping mall is comprised of a great number of famous fashion brand stores, hypermarket, home decor stores and 6 cinema halls.
This facility acted as a catalyst for change in the modern concept of shopping in Belgrade and Serbia, and it is a proudly emphasized fact that Delta City is a large project of Delta Real Estate company that, together with the residential-business complex Belville, makes a unique whole in the heart of Novi Beograd Municipality.
The construction of the first shopping mall in Serbia brought about a lot of challenges and, apart from domestic, a large number of foreign experts was working on the project. It is an impressive fact that 60% of the reinforced concrete structure was manufactured outside of the construction site and then successively brought to the construction site. The production of the steel structure part of a complex geometric shape required the application of contemporary computer-navigated machines that guaranteed the necessary precision
