The reconstruction, rehabilitation and adaptation of the Sava Center has begun

The long-awaited reconstruction of the largest congress center in the region began on 21 December 2021, marking another historic date for our company.

It is estimated that the works will last for around two years, and that the completely renovated Sava Center will welcome its first guests at the end of 2023 or at the beginning of 2024.

The conference held in Sava Center was attended by numerous representatives of the media, and on that occasion the director of design and construction at the Delta Real Estate company, Katarina Gajić, addressed the attendees.

“We will carry out a complete reconstruction, while maintaining the external appearance and all the features that are protected by the decisions of the competent institutions”, emphasized Katarina Gajić.

“We will replace the installations, equipment, glass facade, introduce completely new multimedia and communication content. It is estimated that such a project will require at least EUR 60 million, which we will provide through project financing, in cooperation with banks. Around 1,000 workers will be employed during the works at the construction site.”

Since 2020, Sava Center has been part of Delta Holding, which made the best offer for its purchase at the public tender of the City of Belgrade.

“The renovated Sava Center will have modern and attractive spaces for networking, smaller halls for corporate gatherings and parallel sessions during major congresses. A business area is planned, followed by a shopping area with additional content. The renovated center will be an energy-efficient building in accordance with the most modern safety and sustainability standards,” says Kristina Milinčić, director of the Sava Center. “The goal is for Belgrade to have a modern, best in the region and globally recognizable congress center, which Sava Center has been since its founding.”

The reconstruction of the largest congress center in the region is entrusted to domestic companies. Jadran Company will be the general contractor for the works, Armont Company will be the contractor for the facade, expert supervision will be entrusted to Zoling Company, while Centroprojekt Company will provide design services.
