The company Delta Real Estate started the construction of the shopping mall “Delta Planet” in Banja Luka. The foundation stone was laid by Milorad Dodik, the president of Republika Srpska.
The Delta Planet shopping mall with a size of 62,500 m2 will be the largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The investment is worth EUR 70 million. The opening of the mall is planned for autumn 2018.
“Delta Real Estate has announced the expansion of its operations to the region and EU countries. We are pleased to confirm this with the opening of the construction site in Banja Luka. I want to thank the competent institutions for their cooperation, because in two and a half months we managed to get all the necessary permits for the opening of the construction site. It is an example of the right attitude towards investors. We look forward to enabling the citizens of Banja Luka and the region to shop, have fun and enjoy the facilities of our center,” said Dejan Jeremić, senior vice president for operational affairs of Delta Holding.
Thanks to its size and method of construction according to the highest world standards, this center will bring well-known world brands to Banja Luka. In addition to shops, the center will also have a 1500m2 cinema with 6 cinema screens and the most modern technology. The shopping center will have 1000 parking spaces, a supermarket and a section with restaurants.
More than 500 people will work on the construction site of Delta Planet, and after the opening of the shopping mall, Republika Srpska will get 2,500 new jobs.
Delta Real Estate operates within Delta Holding. It is known for the construction of shopping malls “Delta City” in Belgrade and Podgorica, “Delta Park” in Kragujevac, “Belville” neighborhood in Novi Beograd, etc. The company is strategically expanding its operations to the region and EU countries. In September of this year, the InterContinental Hotel will be opened in Ljubljana, and other projects are also planned.
